| What is the difference between master code and user code? |
| A user code is a 4-digit number that is only used to command arming/disarming of your security system. The master code is a 4-digit number that is used to command arming/disarming of your security system. Besides it is also used to command all settings related with users. (Code, time setting... etc) |

| What is an engineer code? |
| The engineer code is a 4-digit number that is only used to command all settings related with installation. It is not able to command arming/disarming of your security system or settings related with users.

| I don’t want my cleaning lady know a user code of my security system, what will I do? |
| You can assign a guest code which is a temporary code and becomes inactive automatically after one time using or 24 hours from the time of assigning for anyone. Also if you prefer, you can authorize the users by limiting the validity of the user code for determined days and time, bypassing, controlling determined partitions and keypads.

| What will I do if I do not have a user code/master code? |
| You will have to contact one of the professional installers of TEKNIM to see if your panel can be defaulted and a new master code re-programmed.

| How do I change my master code or add/delete user codes? |

| Will my pet make the alarm system give false alarm? |
| If you don’t have an alarm system and buy a new one, you should tell the dealer/installer to use pet immune detectors in your alarm system.
If you still have an alarm system and get a pet yet, please contact to a professional installer/dealer and ask if the devices used in your system is pet immune or not.

| The cost is dependent on the type of sensor required and the system currently in use. Please contact to a professional installer/dealer in your country.

| Trouble light is on, what should I do? |
| If your system’s keypad is an LCD keypad, you can see the trouble type on the display. Otherwise some zone lights with trouble light flashes to indicate the trouble type. Refer to user manual for the type of the trouble.

| Will Teknim or Bilgi Elektronik service my alarm system? |
| Bilgi Elektronik is a manufacturer only, and Teknim is one of the well known brands of Bilgi. Bilgi Elektronik sells its products through distribution to security professionals. Bilgi Elektronik does not monitor, install, or service its products.

| Will Teknim alarm system still work in the case of power loss? |
| The batteries in your alarm control panel will keep your system running for several hours. Check the trouble light on your alarm system’s keypad regularly to ensure battery power is adequate.

| What type of battery do I need and where can I purchase one? |
| Your battery should be replaced with the current model located in your main control panel. A 12 volt, 7-amp battery is recommended and can be purchased through a local security company or electronics store. Please contact to a professional installer nearby.

| If the cable of the outdoor siren of my system is cut off, what will happen? |
| If it is activated, the battery in your outdoor siren will be on and at this time because of the sabotage, it will sound during the time which is set up (default is 3 minutes).

| How can I reset time and date on my keypad? |

| Installation and Programming manuals are only available to security professionals. Our products are intended to be installed and serviced by security professionals only, and our manuals are written for those familiar with the security industry.

| Is an extra phone line necessary for using the dialing features of my alarm system? |
| The phone line used in your home or office can be used. In the case of an alarm situation, alarm control panel will hang up the line if it is busy and call the Central Monitoring Station or the programmed user telephone numbers.
If your phone line is the same with your ADSL line, you should use another line or an ADSL Splitter for alarm control panel dialing features working properly.
